Youth Garden Series:
GROW: Garden Series for Youth at the Wayland Free Library Wednesdays in May.
You can participate in select programs or all four. Please register for each of the programs you/your child want to participate in by calling the library.
May 7th @4:30PM: Grow a garden from seeds. Everyone will get their own little mini green house (seed starting tray with a clear lid) to plant in and take home.
May 14th @4:30PM: Grow Bulbs: Tulip Mania. Once upon a time tulips were very fashionable. They inspired artist and capitalists alike. We will look at the tulips in our garden and make comparisons with some beautiful Dutch paintings from the 17th century before we make a tulip craft.
May 21st @4:30PM: Grow Imagination: Please join us at the library to make a Fairy House.
May 28th@4:30PM: Grow Appreciation. Flower pressing is a way to preserve flowers. We will make some beautiful pressed flower cards and pressed flower luminaries.
Age Group: 7-12 . We ask that younger children bring an adult companion.
To make sure we have enough materials and room for all, please call Wayland Free Library to register: (585) 728-5380
The programs are free.
